Proceeds To Benefit Girls Incorporated of Omaha.

On Saturday, May 3rd, performance artist Michael Israel painted an original portrait of Warren Buffett as part of an “Art Concert” held at
the Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders Meeting in Omaha, Nebraska.
The portrait, which is 6-foot square (approximately 7-foot square with frame), was created in less than 10 minutes using Benjamin Moore Aura paints. Israel performed to the music of U2 while employing his double-fisted paint style with other “unconventional techniques.”

This painting is one of very few portraits of Warren Buffett in existence.
It has been autographed by both Israel and Buffett and framed by Larson Juhl. Buffett autographed the portrait twice: once printing his name in paint and a second time with a Sharpie marker. The portrait will be put up for auction November 10 - 20 on eBay® Giving Works with proceeds donated to Girls Incorporated of Omaha, a 501(c)3 organization committed to its mission to “inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold.SM

About Michael Israel

From Olympic stages to presidential galas and Las Vegas events, Michael Israel is transforming the art world with his revolutionary combination of painting and performance. Few artists can boast having shared stages with such celebrities as Jay Leno, Brooks & Dunn, Toby Keith, Garth Brooks and others. Breaking the stereotype of the reclusive, hyper-sensitive artist, Israel allows audiences to witness the exhilaration of the creative process, in action. Israel moves in rhythm to music while splashing his canvasses with riotous bursts of color. The dynamic paintings that result from this chaos depict some of the world’s most beloved icons, including presidents Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton, Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe and Bono.
